Desjardins

Desjardins business members send EFT payments through AccèsD Affaires, the online platform for caisse business accounts. Your caisse business advisor or the Desjardins business services centre enrols you in the direct payment service and assigns a company number, the numéro d'entreprise, which identifies your company as the originator on every file.

With Zefty, you enter that number and your caisse account details once. Every file you generate afterwards from Zoho Books is built to CPA 005 and to what AccèsD Affaires expects, and vendors who bank anywhere else in Canada are paid from the same file. Validate a test file with your advisor, then go live.

How it works

  1. Enable EFT origination with Desjardins

Ask your caisse business advisor to enrol your company in direct payments through AccèsD Affaires. Desjardins confirms the service agreement, your limits and the users authorized to upload and approve files.

  2. Get your company number

Desjardins issues your company number (numéro d'entreprise) for EFT origination. It identifies your company on every file, so keep it exactly as issued.

  3. Confirm your caisse account details

Note the transit number of your caisse, the institution number 815 and your business account number. A cheque or your account details in AccèsD Affaires shows all three.

  4. Enter them in Zefty once

Choose Desjardins during setup, enter your business name as the caisse has it, your company number and your account details. Zefty keeps them for every file that follows.

  5. Generate, upload and approve

Select bills, choose a payment date and download your file. Upload it in AccèsD Affaires, approve it, and Zefty records a payment in Zoho Books for each bill.

Help

  • Desjardins transit numbers identify a caisse, not a bank branch. Ask vendors who are Desjardins members for their caisse transit, so their payment lands the first time.
  • Generate your first file in test mode and have your advisor confirm it before you go live. Nothing is recorded in Zoho Books until then.
  • Zefty is available entirely in French, including support by email, which many Desjardins members prefer.
  • Keep vendor banking details current in Zoho Books. Zefty reads them at every sync and holds back any bill whose vendor is missing information.

It is issued when Desjardins enrols you in the direct payment service, usually in the confirmation from your caisse business advisor or the business services centre. Contact your caisse if you cannot locate it.
