For distribution and wholesale

EFT supplier payments for distributors and wholesalers

High bill volume, weekly payment runs and supplier terms that reward paying on the right day. Zefty turns the bills you select in Zoho Books into one EFT 1464 file for your bank, whether the run holds ten bills or a hundred.

Where supplier payments break down at volume

Bill volume

Inbound stock generates bills every day. A weekly run can mean fifty or more payments, and keying each one into a bank portal takes an afternoon that accounts payable does not have.

Terms and due dates

Suppliers offer terms, and paying too early or too late both cost money. The run has to go out on the day you choose, with amounts that match the invoices to the cent.

Suppliers at every bank

Domestic suppliers bank everywhere, from the big five to credit unions. Each one's transit, institution and account number must be right in every file, every time.

Reconciliation after the run

Recording fifty payments in Zoho Books by hand after the bank run is where duplicated and missed entries come from, and where month-end reconciliation loses hours.

The weekly supplier run

  1. Let the nightly sync do the collecting

Zefty pulls unpaid bills and supplier banking details from Zoho Books every night and on demand. Your bills are ready when you are.

  2. Filter to what is due

Use a Zoho Books view, for example bills due this week, so Zefty shows only the run you are preparing. Sort by due date or vendor as needed.

  3. Select, check the total, generate

Select the bills, watch the total update in real time, adjust any partial amounts, then choose the payment date and download the file. Bills for suppliers with incomplete banking details are blocked.

  4. Upload once and move on

Upload the single file in your bank portal and approve it. Every bill in the run is already recorded as paid in Zoho Books, and the file sits in your payment history with its report.

Built for volume

Bulk generation

A run of a hundred bills is one file and one upload, with the count and totals calculated for you and a format your bank accepts the first time.

Live total of your selection

The total of what you have selected updates in real time, so you can match the run to your cash position before generating.

Automatic write-back

Payments are recorded in Zoho Books the moment the file is generated, one per bill, for the amount paid. Your payment history links each one to the payment in Zoho Books.

Dashboard visibility

Pending bills, payments this week and a payments chart with period filters, so the controller can see the run status without asking.

Distributors and Zefty: common questions

A file carries as many payments as bills you select. Your bank may set daily value or item limits in your EFT agreement, and those apply to any file you upload. The Premium plan includes unlimited EFT transactions; Starter and Team cover typical volumes for small and mid-sized distributors.

Yes. Enter a partial amount on the bill for the first run; the payment recorded in Zoho Books uses that amount and the balance stays open on the bill. Select the bill again in a later run and pay the remainder.

They are read from Zoho Books at every sync, every night and on demand. If a supplier changes accounts, update the vendor in Zoho Books and sync. Zefty flags any supplier still missing banking information.

The bill cannot be included in a file. It is flagged and excluded until the vendor record in Zoho Books is complete and synced. This prevents a single incomplete vendor from causing the bank to reject the whole run.
